At the heart of the Man Dodo Foundation lies a profound commitment to transform underserved communities in Southern Haiti.
The Man Dodo Humanitarian Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization that was established in 2005 in honor of Mrs. Evanne “Man Dodo” Lozama, a respected figure in the Haitian community known for her dedication to improving the lives of underserved women and children in Haiti. The foundation was founded by the Lozama children and their extended family with the goal of continuing Mrs.Lozama's legacy of service.
Initially, the foundation started with a simple toy drive mission trip to provide toys, food, and clothing to children in the southern region of Haiti. However, during this trip, the Lozama siblings recognized the significant healthcare needs in the area and shifted their focus to providing medical services. Since then, the foundation has expanded its efforts to not only provide healthcare services but also to promote primary prevention through community education about various disease processes.
